Annie Paramount Theatre, 2012
(1900 seat venue) CAROLINE IN THE TITLE ROLE OF ANNIE Directed by Rachel Rockwell (Multiple Jeff Award winning recipient for best director and best choreographer). Caroline played the title role (single cast) eight shows a week at Paramount in this iconic musical about a spunky orphan who is adopted by Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks and helps to change the attitude of the Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Depression. The role of Annie required Caroline to use her gymnastic, singing, dancing and acting skills. Caroline’s Annie was critically acclaimed by the press (Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Dean Richards, WGN, Fox News and all other media). Critic Chris Jones (Chicago Tribune) stated that he thought Rockwell’s production was “Better than Broadway” and that Caroline’s vocals were “hit out of the park”. Caroline appeared in nearly every scene in this show and trained with shelter dog, Mikey (the Broadway “Sandy” who appeared on Broadway too). Rave reviews and extensive photography and a video of highlights of her performance can be viewed in the press section of this web site. |
